Together with the well-known investor Frank Thelen, Logitech supports young companies in the realization of their innovative business ideas. The winners not only receive high-quality technology prizes, but also an exclusive meet-and-greet with the startup guru. This year, for the first time, the awards took place virtually via Zoom. The advantage: the winners were able to put the video equipment they had won to the test during the ceremony. This year’s most promising founders are the digitalization tool provider Cloud Item, the digital identity app developer myEGO and the original parcel store PaketConcierge.

“The decision was difficult for us again this year. Every time, I am thrilled anew by how creative and innovative the participants are. The great success of the Startup Partners in recent years confirms: We can really make a difference. This year’s winners have great potential to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors. And with Logitech as a valuable partner, they definitely have the right setup for this special time,” finds Frank Thelen.
The award winners
Cloud Item: Since its founding in 2019, Cloud Item has been helping B2B partners digitize the analog world. Cloud Item offers its customers a simple and scalable digitization tool that enables the digital management of “offline” items – i.e. machines and products without a direct connection to the Internet. In this process, physical items with all their important information are stored as virtual images – so-called digital twins or cloud items. The user can manage all digital twins via a universal platform and manage them with existing applications. The modular cloud item toolbox saves time and costs.
myEGO: The myEGO app provides a secure and user-centric platform for digital management of documents such as IDs, driver’s licenses, bank cards, contracts or online accounts. After one-time verification, the user can decide for himself which documents he wants to transmit to third parties. The user thus has complete control over his digital self. The digital identity is protected by blockchain technology and processed with forward-looking data analytics technology. MyEGO also impresses with its simplicity and practicality: once uploaded, app users can transmit documents at any time with just a few clicks – saving time and nerves.
PaketConcierge: In times of the e-commerce boom, the Berlin-based startup has set itself the goal of simplifying the receipt of parcels. The principle is simple: local partners such as cafés or small stores act as parcel stores to which users can have their parcels sent – regardless of the shipping service provider. Annoying neighborhood visits, multiple trips to different service providers such as DHL or DPD and restrictive opening hours are thus unnecessary. Online shopping is once again reliable, fast and uncomplicated. The “Paketshop 2.0” impresses above all with its flexibility and simplicity.
The profit
Logitech and Frank Thelen select the “Logitech Startup Partner” for the third time in a row. This year again shows that the innovative spirit of young German entrepreneurs is unbroken. However, startups face major challenges, especially in the growth phase. The expert knowledge of technology entrepreneur Frank Thelen is therefore invaluable and helps the winning startups to successfully advance their vision. Logitech actively supports them with high-quality technology for a professional presentation to customers and investors. This year’s winners can look forward to a package consisting of a Logitech MeetUp video conferencing room solution including a Dell 55 inch 4k display, a Dell meeting room PC and a Zoom Rooms annual license with a total value of over €4,000.
André Krug, Head of Video Collaboration DACH at Logitech explains: “We are pleased again this year about numerous innovative and promising applications and congratulate the winners. With our video conferencing solutions and the wealth of experience offered, the winning startups will hopefully soon be able to really take off.
Michael Debuschewitz, Co-Founder of PaketConcierge comments on the win: “We have set ourselves big goals for the next few years – especially new partnerships and networks are at the top of our agenda. Thanks to the win, we can now start this phase strengthened and implement a successful market launch. We are very pleased to receive the award and are already looking forward to the partnership.”
